Optics Research in Cuba

Abstract

Celebrating the designation of 2015 as the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies, an overview of the research in the field of optics in Cuba is presented. The main results achieved in the institutions that have done research in the field of optics in the country are described and put into an historical context.
