Abstract

The prototype of a new Nd:YAG laser with variable pulse duration in 50-500µs range is presented. The device has a portable laser cavity in order to facilitate the manual application. The power supply is quite compact for a 3kW power unit. The pulse width regulation is performed electronically, allowing the optimization of contaminants ablation efficiency.
